Removing the Leash in How to Achieve Leadership Qualities

Think of a poor critter outside leashed to a doghouse. Consider how this animal feels, since his freedom is limited. Now think of this pet as he is freed from the leash. What happens? The pet unfortunately may not have boundaries or limits setup and could possibly run in the road. On the other hand, if the owners took time to train the pet the animal will have boundaries and limits and will fear going outside of those limits. This fear we are talking about is not a bad fear, rather it is a healthy fear known as respect.

Still this animal is not afraid to explore about the yard searching for new areas. The animal is not afraid to defend his rights and the rights of his owners if it comes down to the final draw. The pet will even go outside of those boundaries and limits if necessary to state his point.

Like this pet, a leader sets up the same rules and follows them. In other words, a true leader will not put his self in harms way deliberately, yet he realizes that potential dangers exist and he respects those dangers.

Leaders have boundaries and limits, yet they know when to unleash. Leaders often work with their conscious and instincts rather than working against them. This provides them freedom to move smoothly toward achieving leadership qualities.

To help you see examples of leaders we can consider a leader who takes responsibility for his actions. Consider a religious leader. Religious leader have the responsibility of self and others. A religious leader misleading the community is responsible for all the actions, behaviors, words etc expressed by the people. Thus, a good religious leader will carefully deliberate biblical truths and learn to express according while quoting each scripture. This person will gain a full appreciation for what he teaches by considering all aspects of the bible. The leader will speak the truth by verifying them according to scriptures. If this person fails to do this, he is in major big trouble. Unfortunately, many religious leaders fail to adhere to the leader rules and will often miss out on using leadership qualities. This is not one of the finest examples of leaders, but you can see that these people have grave responsibilities.

Let's consider the legal system. Law enforcement is responsible to uphold the law while promoting safety. If these people break the laws they are showing samples of poor leadership, since they are following broken rules, policy, and the like. These people are followers trying to lead.

Consider a father. His responsibility includes his family. It is up to him to make good working decisions that will not cause harm to his family. He thinks of potential dangers and avoids those dangers at all cost. For instance, a father viewing pornography, nudity, and watching violent movies on television is not considering his family and showing poor leadership.

Leaders are honest. These people strive to display their qualities such as sincerity. Leaders prove true to their integrity and the integrity of others by applying frankness in every action they take. They show openness, honesty, and are often outspoken as they move ahead.

Leaders base their actions on morale and reasoning. A leader will consider others as he makes his decisions. Therefore, define morale, which includes clean minds, actions, behaviors, conduct, loyalty, faithfulness, honesty and you will see qualities of a leader to unleash from instincts. What makes a leader is morality, standards and values set at higher limits than normal ways of life.
